HYRMY:n hallitus tiedottaa: HYRMY menettää kerhohuoneensa Ulrika-klusterilla.
Helmikuun neljäs päivä vuonna 2012 alkanut HYRMY:n kolmannen kerhohuoneen aikakausi tulee virallisesti päätökseen toukokuussa 2026, kun HYY:n uusi tilajako astuu voimaan ja nykyinen klusterimalli lakkaa virallisesti olemasta. HYY on tähän asti myöntänyt jokaiselle tilaa hakeneelle ja ehdot täyttävälle jäsenjärjestölleen oman järjestötilan, mutta nyt voimaan astuu uusi tilajakomenettely, jossa järjestökohtaisia tiloja ei enää ole.
Uusi tilajakomenettely on seurausta HYY:n pakosta myydä Uusi ylioppilastalo, jolla sekä HYY:n keskustoimisto että suuri määrä jäsenjärjestöjä on toiminut. Syksystä 2026 HYY:n haltuun jäävät enää Domus Gaudiumin tilat ja viereisen Mechelininkatu 3 D:n tilat. Näitä tiloja tullaan jatkossa käyttämään sekä HYY:n toimiston että jäsenjärjestöjen toimesta. Tietoisena tästä HYRMY:n hallitus elätteli pitkään toiveita siitä, että toimintaa Ulrika-klusterilla saataisiin jatkaa toisenlaisella jakomenetelmällä, mutta nyt olemme saaneet tiedon siitä, että HYY:n keskustoimisto sijaitsee jatkossa nimenomaan nykyisen Ulrika-klusterin tiloissa. Näin ollen HYRMY:n viimeinen tapahtuma nykyisellä kertsillä järjestetään lauantaina 25.4. Tapahtumasta tiedotetaan erikseen lähiaikoina.
Mitä tämä tarkoittaa HYRMY:n toiminnan jatkon osalta? Sitä, että toiminta jatkuu kuten tähänkin asti, mutta eri tiloissa. Uuden tilajakomenettelyn myötä loput Domus Gaudiumin ja Mechelininkatu 3 D:n tiloista jäävät järjestöjen käyttöön ja niille tullaan luomaan uusi tilavarausjärjestelmä, jonka kautta järjestöt saavat varata tiloja tapahtumilleen. Mikä tilojen käyttöaste tulee olemaan ja kuinka usein tiloja on mahdollista varata on vielä täysi mysteeri, emmekä osaa tarkkaan sanoa, vaikuttaako uusi menettely tapahtumien määrään. On mahdollista, että kertsi-iltoja tulee olemaan jatkossa vähemmän. Tiedotamme asiasta erikseen myöhemmin.

HYRMY’s board announces: HYRMY to lose its clubroom at Ulrika-cluster.
The era of HYRMY’s third clubroom that began on the 4th of February 2012 officially comes to a close in May 2026 as HYY’s new allocation of premises takes effect and the current cluster model comes to an end. Up until now HYY has allocated a dedicated space to each member organisation that has applied for one and has filled the requirements, but now a new premise allocation mechanism where no dedicated spaces exist comes to force.
The new premise allocation mechanism is a direct consequence of HYY having to sell the New Student House where both HYY’s office and several organisations have heretofore operated. Starting in autumn 2026, only the premises at Domus Gaudium and Mechelininkatu 3 D will be left in HYY’s possession. These premises will be used to house HYY’s main office and all the member organisations participating in the new allocation. Knowing this, HYRMY’s board was hopeful that the current premises at the Ulrika-cluster could continue to be used for events in some form, but we have recently been informed that HYY’s main office will in future be located where the clubroom now does. Consequently, HYRMY’s last event at the current clubroom will be held on Saturday, April 25th. We will be announcing the last event separately in the coming days.
What does this mean for HYRMY’s activities going forward? Just that we’ll be organising events just as we have until now, only in other spaces. As a part of the new premise allocation mechanism, all the remaining spaces at Domus Gaudium and Mechelininkatu 3 D will be left for organisations to use and a new space reservation system through which space reservations can be made will be launched. Whether this affects how much and how often the remaining spaces can be used remains to be seen, and we cannot at this time say whether this affects the number of events we organise. It is possible that there will be fewer clubroom hangouts going forward. This will be announced in the future as we learn more.
